THE SQUADRON SAFETY TEAM The Squadron Safety Team The Squadron Safety Team (SST) is an embedded group within The Squadron comprised of trained and experienced flight safety personnel and air accident investigators, dedicated to working with small non-commercial air operations of up to 5 aircraft.
 Safety Management Implementation The SST should be considered a valuable “force multiplier” to a small aviation department that does not have sufficient depth of personnel with the appropriate knowledge and experience to maximize the success of a comprehensive Safety Management System (SMS).
 Safety Assurance Program Development The SST is the natural choice to assist in the implementation of an SMS, but the true value of their expertise comes in ensuring successful maturity to the system, and with this in mind we have developed a comprehensive Safety Assurance Program (SAP). With the current climate of both ICAO and the FAA encouraging the adoption of an SMS, and the proven financial benefits of applying the discipline of flight safety correctly, air departments are well advised to seek joining SST on this program.
