JAMES FREAN In 2006, James established the first US based helicopter to large yacht integration consultancy. His background of maritime aviation from his time as a Royal Navy helicopter pilot led him to consulting on the design and operations for several of the most prestigious yachts currently in service, and he quickly established himself as a leader in this niche industry. His particular expertise is from understanding the flow of how a helideck really works, creating simple yet safe lay outs and procedures that allow yachts to support a helicopter to the maximum benefit of the owner. As the President of The Squadron Inc., James is focussed on applying the wealth of knowledge and experience that his team can bring to benefit small air departments. Personally he continues to concentrate on yacht integration and supporting high net worth individuals’ private operations, advising on acquisitions, operational structures and management of resources.
